WA can boast the third largest Fringe festival in the world, and this year is looking bigger and better than ever with 138 venues and four whole weeks of fun.

Fringe World Festival Director Amber Hasler said the 2019 edition promises to deliver a smorgasbord of the hilarious and the heart-stopping, the surprising and the wonderful.

“Last year’s Fringe was our biggest yet – we had close to a million attendances and we were so overjoyed at how much people loved going on a Fringe binge!” Hasler said.

“This year’s program is heavy on a host of Fringe favourites that are returning after sell out seasons, plus new shows that will delight Fringe fans.”

Some highlights include the new hub at Yagan Square, which will feature Le Aerial, drag spectacular YUMMY Deluxe, Lucy Peach’s My Greatest Period Ever and more.

The Pleasure Garden will of course return as well, playing host to circus sensation Rouge, Djuki Mala, Betty Grumble and the world premiere of Tony Galati: The Musical.

Northbridge is also home to the much-loved Ice Cream Factory, which will see the return of the super saucy Club Swizzle and the high risk Fuego Carnal.

The program is also loaded with heaps of incredible local LGBTI+ talents from drag performers to cabaret sensations – so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for local favourites like BarbieQ, Gendermess, and Miss Burlesque 2018 Scarlet Adams.
