LFO sold millions of albums back in the late ’90s and scored hits with Summer Girls and Girls on TV. While their first album was a hit, their follow didn’t fare as well.

The three piece band was originally called Lyte Funkie Ones, and featured Rich Cronin, Brad Fischetti and Brad Gillis. After a few years Gillis quite that band and Lima joined. They renamed themselves LFO and soon after scored their first big hit with Summer Girls.

The band called it quits in 2002 but reformed in 2009. Their comeback was short lived as singer Rich Cronin (centre in photo) was diagnosed with Leukemia and passed away in 2010.

Last year Lima was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer. As part of his treatment he had a kidney removed. Last year Lima and Fischetti returned to touring and released their first new music in 15 years.
