Veronica Jean Jones is set to read some of her favourite children’s stories at Rabble Books and Games’ Drag Queen Story Hour this month.

The January edition of the family friendly event is on at 2pm on Sunday 20th January at the popular Maylands book store on Eighth Avenue.

Attendees will be able to join in as Veronica shares three picture books she loves, before posing for photos with the crowd.

The first edition of the event, held last year, saw local drag stars Donna Kebab and Perri Oxide show off their storytelling skills. Perri Oxide’s dramatic reading of Wombat Stew has been tipped as a favourite for best performance at the 2019 Proud Awards.

The bookshop located at the heart of Perth’s queerest suburb, “Maylands is Gaylands”, stocks a wide range of books that appeal to rainbow families, alongside an amazing range of fiction and non-fiction for adults.
