New Kids on the Block pay tribute to all the boy bands

New Kids on the Block have got a brand new song and a fun video. Boys in the Band pays tribute to all the boy bands that came before, and after, NKTOB.

The video clip sees them recreate some of the most memorable videos, and fellow 80’s teen star Debbie Gibson makes a cameo too. There’s also an appearance from Lance Bass from NYSYC and R&B trio Bell Biv Devoe also turn up.

The song is dedicated to the band’s founder Maurice Starr who passed away in 2016. Starr created New Kids of the Block, but also had earlier success with New Edition.

New Edition’s members included Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown alongside Ricky Bell, Michael Bivens and Ronnie DeVoe – who went on to perform as Bell Biv Devoe.

The song is being released on the 20th edition version of the band’s breakthrough album Hangin’ Tough.  The 1989 album included the hits You Got It (The Right Stuff), Hangin’ Tough, Please Don’t Go Girl and I’ll be Loving You Forever.
