The duo came together in 1998 in NYC as an art project, combining the last names of members Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner.

In 2001 they released their first album, the ambitiously titled #1, that contained the popular single Emerge. The bands early success was as part of the electroclash music movement.

They followed that up with 2005’s Odyssey and 2009′ s Entertainment. Fans would have to wait nine years for the band’s final offering SIR. When the long awaited album was finally released critics at The Guardian described it as “not worth the wait.”

Casey Spooner announced earlier this year that he would be running to become President of the United States, but his candidacy was not taken seriously.
