ABBA – Number Ones – Polar/Universal

ABBA number ones CD coverIt seems like every couple of years Universal seems to trot out another version of their cash cow, and I wonder why would you after the world wide success of ABBA Gold  (both I and II). I suppose it could also be noted that there is an ad for Mamma Mia! on the inside. Making me sound more cynical is that Gimme Gimme Gimme! is the opening track fresh off the heels of it putting Madonna back in the charts. True the disc is choc full of hits like Voulez-vous, Summer Night City, The Name of the Game and couple of other so called blips on the radar, strangely though Ring Ring doesn’t get a look in.
