Ariana Grande and Troye Sivan recreate 'Mean Girls' for new video

Ariana Grande has released a teaser video for her new track Thank U, Next and she’s roped in some famous friends to recreate the iconic film Mean Girls.

The clip features actors from the original film, various YouTube stars and Ariana’s friends including Troye Sivan.

In the teaser clip Troye says he heard that Ariana is now a lesbian and dating a girl named Aubrey.

The line refers to confusion among fans when the song was originally released. In the tune Ariana gives a shout-out to her ex-boyfriends before singing about self empowerment.

“I know they say I move on too fast / But this one gon’ last / ‘Cause her name is Ari / And I’m so good with that.” is what she sings, but fans misheard the line as “’cause her name is Aubrey”.

Soon after the song was released fans to took to social media to speculate that Ariana might be coming out and was now dating a women named Aubrey.
