Bananarama return to the charts for the first time in decades

Bananarama look set to return to the British pop charts for the first time in decades with their new album In Stereo. The album came out last week and it’s predicted that it’ll crack the Top 20 of the charts this week.

The record is the duo’s first album in nine years and their first to crack the Top 20 since 1987’s WOW and their Greatest Hits collection that came out the following year.

In Stereo is the band’s eleventh studio album and sees Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward collaborating with producer Ian Masterton for the majority of the album. The also perform the song Love in Stereo which was previously recorded by former Sugerbabes Siobhan,  Mutya and Keisha.

Alongside their new music the duo also recently released some new remixes for Record Store Day. The fresh remixes include Leo Zero’s take on Venus, disco legend Tom Moulton takes on Cruel Summer and Ewan Pearson reinvents their very first single Aie A Mwana.
