Calls for Ugandan Soccer Coach To Be Declared Stateless

 

uganda-flag[1]Ugandan religious leader Joseph Sserwada, chairman of the Born Again Churches in Uganda, has called for the administrator of the national soccer team to be declared stateless.

The call comes after a local newspaper proclaimed that the administrator Chris Mubiru was gay.

The newspaper published graphic images of Mubiru and alleged that he had been engaging in homosexual acts with members of the country’s football team. Mubiru has since fled to the United States.

Uganda is continuing to debate the introduction of a death penalty for homosexuality.
