Speculation is rife that Celine Dion is about to announce an Australian tour, her first concert tour of Australia in over a decade.
Tour company Frontier Touring got fans excited when they posted a series of emoji that spelled out Beauty and the Beast, while a second message featuring a power plug and a hear was decoded as ‘Power of Love’.
Friday’s date was beneath the messages, leaving fans hoping for an official announcement at the end of the week.
Dion kicked off her Falling Into You World Tour in Perth in 1996, but that wasn’t her first trip to Western Australia. She was a special guest on Telethon in 1992. She return in 2008 with her Taking Chances World Tour.
When the singer’s Celine Dion Live 2018 World Tour was announced she suggested she might Australasia in July and August.
Since her career started as a child star in Quebec Dion has released 15 albums in French and 11 English language albums. Her most recent English language release was 2013’s Loved Me Back to Life. A new album is expected to be released this year to coincide with her world tour.
