Conchita Wurst Releases New Video

Conchita 1

Everyone’s favourite bearded drag songstress Conchita Wurst has returned with a new video.

‘Heroes’ is Wurst’s first single since winning the 2014 Eurovision song contest in May

In artistic black and white, Wurst channels the Madonna (religious Madonna, not singer Madonna) cradling a small blonde boy and wearing a halo-like headpiece. There’s a lot of weird masks, conservative-looking dudes (one of whom bears a strong resemblance to Vladimir Putin) guns falling out of the sky, and bullets landing in milk.

What does it all mean? Is it a message against discrimination and violence? Is Conchita Wurst some kind of celestial dairy goddess?

It’s too early on a Monday morning to tell.
