Gaga Fans Excited Ahead of Show

DSC_0459webLady Gaga superfan Jake Rickman arrived at the Perth Arena at 4am this morning to ensure he got a good spot when the doors opened for the show tonight.

Jake described the Arena’s forecourt as being quite a cold, dead and miserable place in the early morning, but it hadn’t dampened his spirits for tonight’s show.

“She’s such a good performer” Rickman shared, “I’m so excited for tonight.”

In preparation for tonight’s show Rickman has gone out of his way not to see any videos of photos from the tour as it’s toured around other countries, preferring to have it all revealed when the singers takes to the stage.

Like many of the die hard fans waiting outside the venue this won’t be his first time seeing Lady Gaga perform. Rickman caught the singer’s previous tour in 2012.

For Danny and Peter (pictured), who hold the coveted number one spot in the door queue, Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way Ball’ at Burswood in 2012 was where they first met.

The committed fans secured their position at the front of the line by camping out at the Perth Arena since Monday. The couple said they’d occupied their time waiting in the line by playing a lot of ‘I Spy’ and completing crosswords and puzzle books.

“We’ve spent about five hours playing  ‘I Spy'”, joked Peter. The couple are adamant though that they’ll have plenty of energy once the concert begins, “Once the music starts we’ll be going cray!”.

The couple got together last September at The Court Hotel and have been a couple ever since, but when they were comparing photos and sharing which artists they loved the most the realised that their paths had previously crossed at Lady Gaga’s show.

“We showed each other pictures of our favourite artists and the costumes we made for Gaga,” explains Danny, “that’s when we realised that we were just a few people apart in the line back in 2012.”

Like many of the people in the queue Danny and Peter had put a lot of thought into their costume for the night, and were counting down the time until they morphed into being little monsters.

Lady Gaga’s ‘Artrave, the ARTPOP Ball’ is at Perth Arena tonight.
