Home Sweet Home

Erica Wardle and Lucas Bowers blew apart the national fashion scene when they launched their menswear label ericaamerica in 2001. With an aesthetic which adheres to the integrity of art more than the franchise of fashion, the duo have slowly asserted themselves as design masters of an incredible calibre. Their reputation is about to be cemented with the opening of Maison Ericaamerica at PICA, an installation of incredible breadth being held as part of Perth International Arts Festival (PIAF). This new work fuses Victoriana with the modern day, collides ornamentation with a collage of convenience, secrets with celebrity obsession, and the public world with the private one. Maison Ericaamerica opens February 6 at 6pm and runs until March 30. www.pica.org.au
