In Clip: Amy Pearson

With the countdown to the 2008 Olympics underway, singer Amy Pearson’s song ‘Ready to Fly’ was selected as the song for Channel 7’s Olympic promo spots. Recently returned from China, where Amy filmed the commercial for Channel 7, we took the chance to ask her just why ‘Ready to Fly’ was the perfect choice as an Olympic anthem.

‘Anyone who has been preparing for a moment for their whole lives pretty much, they are at a doorway where they have to make a choice, it all happens right now and in five seconds it could all be over. That’s really what they’re all doing, they’re just training for years and years and then it comes to the race and they just have to go ‘bang, I’m ready’ and just be on point and do it, no matter what and no matter who says they can’t.’
