A Magical Pride Parade

Perth Pride Parade returned to it’s traditional night time position this year and the streets of Northbridge were crowded with spectators.

Fifty two groups marched in the parade ranging from community groups to businesses and individuals. The show from ‘The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ made an appearance, alongside slit walkers, super heroes, samba dancers and drag stars.

Political causes weren’t left out either with a theatrical group highlighting LGBTIQ people held in detention on Manus Island. Marriage Equality and Mental Health issues were also highlighted.

This is just a small selection of the many hundreds of photographs we took at the Pride Parade. We will post several galleries of photographs over the next few days.
