The celebration of local music  promises a massive series of free live music events all over the city. There will be over 10 different stages spread along the Murray Street precinct allowing audiences to float from one show to the next.

Amplifier Capitol will be a major port for the evening, with WAMFest acts taking over every inch of the indoor-outdoor multi-level music haunt. Set across four stages, you’ll find a selection of WA’s finest alternative, grunge, punk and indie-rock from must-see acts such as Bolt Gun, FOAM, Skullcave, Spacey Jane, and Sly Withers, alongside soul soothing sets from buzz-worthy soloists like Helen Shanahan and Tanaya Harper.

A dive down to The Sewing Room will reveal a mix of indie-folk and raucous rock from the likes of The Wilds, Ryan Beno, Noah Dillon, and The Tommyhawks. Or soak up neo soul vibes from acts such as Ruby May and Georgia Reed at The Laneway Lounge. Rubix Bar, The Belgium Beer Café and Wesley Church will have you covered on all things blues, country, acoustic and gospel.

Thirty bands have been announced, and there still more to come.  WAMFest Co-coordinator Simon O’Leary said the WAM team were excited about the upcoming event.

“We’re really happy to be presenting a completely free WAMFest Live program this year, and look forward to showcasing some of the best venues and live acts in Australia.”

The full first line-up announcement includes Anthony Lloyd, Camarano, Candy Guts, Cruel Noon, Doublethink Prism, Duncan Saige, Fields, FOAM, Georgia Reed, Grace Sanders, Great Gable, Helen Shanahan, Joys, Kallan Phillips, Kat Wilson Trio, Mark Turner, Noah Dillon, Pat Chow, Ratking, Ribs, Ruby May, Ryan Beno, Skullcave, Sly Withers, Spacey Jane, SURAJ, Tanaya Harper, Tania Martin, The Shakeys, The Tommyhawks, The Wilds and Treehouses.

Now in its 25th year, WAMFest presented by Act-Belong-Commit is the biggest celebration of emerging West Australian artists, bands and producers.

Spanning multiple weekends, the WAMFest Live component will see hundreds of WA artists takeover venues and outdoor stages for a series of free live music events in Perth City on Friday 2 November and Northbridge on Saturday 3 November, with more events kicking off in regional WA and Perth suburbs in the weeks before and after still to be announced.
