In the past six months, Tyler, the Creator has taken center stage in the mainstream music scene, as a result release of his most recent album: IGOR. The artist is undoubtedly one of the most compelling rappers of our generation, consistently pushing societal norms through his music. The rapper and producer first entered the music industry as a founding member of Odd Future, later choosing to continue as a solo artist and going on to release a multitude of albums: Goblin (2011), Wolf (2013), Cherry Bomb (2015), Flower Boy (2017) and IGOR (2019).

Tyler and RÜFÜS will be joined by grime artist Skepta, arguably one of the most significant British artists in music today. The Mercury Prize winner and BRIT Award nominee encapsulates broad and diverse audiences through his energetic live performances of hits including ‘Shutdown’ and ‘Bet’, while the crowd can also be sure to hear tracks off his latest album ‘Ignorance is Bliss’ released last May.

Fellow U.K. native Ella Mai will make her first appearance in Western Australia at Origin Fields, having swarmed the mainstream music market in 2018 upon the of release breakthrough single ‘Boo’d Up’. Also making their debut to the west is quirky Hobo Johnson and The Lovemakers, who gained viral interest on his NPR “Tiny Desk” Concert, gaining over 25 million streams.

Origin Fields are notorious for bringing some of the world’s biggest bass acts to Perth, this year they have not let the fans down with RL Grime, Jauz, Golden Features, What So Not, Andy C, Flux Pavilion, Kings of the Rollers and Noisia amongst the lineup.

Origin Fields is on for two days on December 31st 2019 and January 1st 2020. For tickets and more info head to originfields.com.au
