Themed “Silver City – celebrating 25 fabulous years”, this year’s PrideFEST will celebrate the massive contribution Western Australia’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer community has made to arts and culture in WA over the last quarter of a century.

Pride WA President Andrew Barker said, “In our 25th year, we are aiming to showcase more than 100 arts, culture and community events, including the Pride Parade and Urban Orchard after party in Northbridge on Saturday 21 November.”

As well as symbolising the silver anniversary, this year’s “Silver City” theme will recognise the special and historic links inner city Perth has had with the Pride community and the valuable support the City of Perth and City of Vincent have shown to Pride WA over the years, as well as the organisation’s growing relationship with the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority.

Each year, PrideFEST showcases the diversity of LGBTIQ performers and/or LGBTIQ-themed content through performances across all art forms, including music, dance, theatre, visual arts, comedy and more.

As part of PrideFEST, individuals and groups from the LGBTIQ community are encouraged to hold member and community events during the festival dates.

Applications for PrideFEST here and programming enquiries should be sent to programming@pridewa.com.au

PRIDEFEST 2015 will run from 6 to 22 November. Applications open: Wednesday 8 July, applications close: Friday 4 September at 5.00pm.

Application to take part in the Pride Parade will open later in the year.
