The singer’s debut album in ‘The Lonely Hour’ has just racked up it’s 69th consecutive week in the UK charts, the longest an album has ever stayed on the charts. The singer’s achievement has been recognised by the Guinness Book of Records.

On top of that, Smith’s new Bond theme ‘Writings on the Wall’ is number one in the British charts, surprisingly the first time a Bond tune has cracked the top spot.

“This is so amazing! It’s such an honour to be recognized by Guinness World Records,” Smith said.

“It’s been an unbelievable eighteen months – the album exceeded even my wildest dreams thanks to the incredible support of my fans, and to record the first ever Bond theme to reach No 1 in the UK is a real privilege.”
