COMEDY INC – THE LATE SHIFT (Thurs Oct 25, Nine-10:30pm)

Auuugh! There’s a reason this has been banished to hours when only Batman would be watching, people. I’ve seen funnier things in Christmas crackers, and I don’t even mean the corny jokes, I mean the tissue paper hats!

EXECUTIVE STRESS (Fri Oct 26, ABC-6pm)

I’m not debating the talents of wonderful actress Penelope Keith, whom seems to be obliged by some obscure British Vaudeville Law to appear in every BBC sitcom made between 1975-1995 – she rocks (and if she’s not a lesbian icon already then put her on the list, grrrls!). It’s just that, if the ABC is going to air one of her sitcoms, can’t it be one a little more up to date, rather than one first aired in 1986 and relies on ‘Oooh, a woman in the workplace, how odd!’ for its humour?!
