STATEMENT: Staff Member Assaulted

MEDIA STATEMENT

This afternoon a member of OUTinPerth’s delivery team was assaulted while delivering the publication in the city centre.

The police responded quickly and the female assailant was apprehended.

The team member was treated for minor cuts and bruises at Royal Perth Hospital and released a short time later. There is no indication whatsoever that this incident was a homophobic assault.

Due to this incident the delivery of our October edition has been delayed slightly to a select few locations. The publications can be picked up at the majority of distribution spots.
