The magical music of Harry Potter is back, live in concert

From the moment the first notes play you know what it is. Before the Warner Bros logo glints quietly past or the first quiet Lumos Maxima is whispered, even before Daniel Radcliffe’s mess of black hair makes an appearance, you recognise what you’re watching.

The Harry Potter films have some of the most identifiable soundtracks in the last decade, part of the reason they have created such a phenomenon throughout the muggle world. It seems intuitive then to celebrate these soundtracks with the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, created by CineConcerts and performed by our very own WASO. Having kicked off in June 2016 with the first film, they are now proud to present Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban live in concert in May of 2018.

WASO will perform the entire magical Oscar-nominated score, accompanying the original film which will play in high definition of a 40 foot screen. Experience the soaring motifs and conjuring beauty that made John William’s compositions instant classics again, along with what is arguably the best of the Harry Potter films.

“The Harry Potter film series continues to be a once-in a lifetime cultural phenomenon that delights millions of fans around the world,” explains the projects creator and Producer, Justin Freer. “This will be another unforgettable event.”

The project is scheduled to include hundreds of performances across more than 25 countries around the world throughout 2018, including performances at the Royal Albert Hall in London, at the Sydney Opera House, and right here at Riverside Theatre in Perth.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban is live in Concert on the 4-5th May 2018
