A 24 year old Cameroon man has finally been released after two years in jail on charges of homosexuality without ever having a trial. It was found that the Cameroon government had no evidence against the man nor were there any files on his arrest. Completely lost in the system Alexandre D was lucky to be discovered by an attorney investigating another case involving incarcerated gay men. He is the seventeenth person to have been released from jail in the Cameroons after spending time in prison on charges of homosexuality following a witch-hunt by two Cameroon newspapers who printed a list of suspected gays.
