Youth Pride Network invite young LGBTQIA+ artists to hone their skills

Local youth advocacy group, the Youth Pride Network, has an exciting opportunity for young and emerging LGBTIQA+ musicians and drag artists to perform at their upcoming All Ages Gig presented by Drug Aware.

As a follow on to their successful gig last year, the Youth Pride Network is running another music and drag event for LGBTIQA+ young people and wants any new or first-time performing musicians or drag artists to take part.

As part of performing you will get the opportunity to learn from successful industry locals to hone your craft in a workshop on the 30th of March.

Emerging musicians will get the opportunity to work with local legend Cecilia Brandolini to hone your performance skills and drag performers will get to work with Drag queen extraordinaire Veronica Jean Jones.

The last All Ages Gig had a massive turnout and young musicians got the opportunity to play amongst the likes of Mirrors at the Arcade, TASHI and Foetus and Fossil. It also provided an alternative event for young LGBTIQA+ people that was drug and alcohol free.

No prior performance experience is required.

The LGBTIQA+ All Ages Gig is proudly sponsored by Healthway, to promote the Drug Aware message, and Propel Youth Arts WA.

The Mentoring Workshop will take place on Saturday 30th March ahead of the All Ages Gig at Leederville HQ on Tuesday 26th April.

Applications close Monday 18th March. For more info head to www.youthpridenetwork.com
