How did you keep exercising over the holiday period?

I’m actually doing more than I was doing previously. I’ve been walking along the beach every day.

How have you gone sticking to the eating regiment?

There have been days when it’s been really difficult. Christmas day was really good I was really well behaved and a couple of days after that. I think the hardest thing is falling out of keeping a record of what you’re actually eating. If you forget to do that you don’t realise how quickly the calories creep up.

What’s been challenging?

It’s hard when you go out to eat, if you go out to breakfast remembering that you don’t need the hollandaise sauce or that while pancakes are really nice, they’re not a good idea.

When you on holiday and mixing with other people the hardest thing’s alcohol, it’s just fat in a bottle really. It puts on the weight so fast. You have to remember that there are other options that taste just as good even if they don’t get you drunk.

Graeme’s Experience

How did you keep exercising over the holiday period?

I had a short break in early December my partner took me to Bali for a few days. We stayed in a really nice hotel that had a great gym and I went three out of the four days. I’ve been going to the Goodlife gym in Inglewood once or twice a week, but I really need to be hitting it three times a week. I got given some dumbbells for Christmas.

How have you gone sticking to the eating regiment?

I probably ate more food when we were in Bali, but I stuck to healthy food. I indulged a little on Christmas Day but was back on track my Boxing Day. There have been few lapses but I’m still losing kilos.

What’s been challenging?

I didn’t have any alcohol for two months, it wasn’t too hard. I had one glass of wine on Christmas Day. Then I went to a music festival and decided to take a day off from the ‘no drinking’ rule. Probably not a great move, but the jumping around in the mosh pit counts as official exercise right?
