Club West Returns

Who said Rasta and Drag won’t mix?

Rastafari is not a highly organized religion; it is a movement and an ideology. Many Rastas say that it is not a religion at all, but a ‘way of life’. Rastafarians do not claim any sect or denomination, and thus encourage one another to find faith and inspiration within themselves. And yes happy punters, Drag follows similar lines!

These two forms of expression and art will come together on Saturday, 14 April at the WA Italian Club, in support of Kimberley Care Orphanage in Ghana.

Rising reggae artist Noah Ananle (aka PaPa FLaVa) released his third album early this year and garnered rave reviews from the press in Africa. Noah will be singing live at the beginning of the second show at Club West. Orphaned at the age of four, he is an enduring inspiration to all who know him and with the generosity of his partner, Gwen Newton, started the Kimberley Care Orphanage in 2006.

The guest artist for the main show is the delightful Swish Eveready, who now lives in Melbourne. Fabulous costumes, visual backgrounds and a team of dancers will help showcase her 35 minute feature show.

The event features a cast of over 35 performers and is AUSLAN-signed. The raffle prize is two tickets to Mary Poppins.

Club West returns on Saturday, 14 April at the WA Italian Club, for more details log on to www.clubwest.com.au
