PM to Seek Legal Advice on Gay Marriage Laws

Newly sworn in Prime Minister Tony Abbott was quick off the mark, questioning the legality of the Australian Capital Territory’s recently introduced legislation for same sex marriage. Mr Abbott has asked federal Attorney General George Brandis to look into the matter. The legislation is expected to be debated in the ACT parliament in October.

Jedward Are In Australia

Irish Twin Brothers John and Edward Grimes (aka Jedward) touched down in Sydney for a week long promotional trip ahead of their Australian tour in December. The boys are best known in Australia for representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song contest for two consecutive years. The boys posted a video update of their Australian experience.

Madonna Declares I Am a Gay Man

Madonna opened up to fans this week taking part in a Q&A session on web site Reddit. Answering hundreds of fan questions Madonna talked about the chances of a new album in 2014, her thoughts on a political career, whether or not she’d team up with Daft Punk and why son Rocco should think more about his maths homework than his chances of recording a rap album.
