Same Sex Speed Dating is coming to The Ellington Jazz Club this month. The classy surrounds of the Ellington plus a few glasses of champagne, some canapes and a chance to possibly meet Mr or Mrs Right, sounds like a good way to spend a weeknight.

Debbie Rivers from Dare2Date explained that they decided to run a series of same sex speed dating sessions because she kept meeting so many people who said they wished there was such a thing.

“For most peope it’s pretty nerve-racking to start with,” said Rivers of the speed dating experience, “but once people come, they always say it’s the best night out they’ve had in a long time.”

Luke Dornan from the Ellington Hotel shares that he loves that speed dating allows everyone to start on the same page. “You’re walking into a room of people who you know are single and interested,” Luke said, ‘If you just walk into a bar there are people who are there for so many different reasons, some are just getting drunk, other are just there to dance…this is a beautiful night and people really mix.”

Speed Dating for Girls is on Wednesday April 16th, while Speed Dating for Boys is on Wednesday May 14th, Book your ticket at www.dare2date.com.au
