Ellen DeGeneres "I Don't have a Gay Agenda"

Ellen-Degeneres-horz-003Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has responded to a pastor of who wrote an article claiming that Hollywood, and particularly Ellen had a gay agenda.

Writing in ‘The Christian Post’ Pastor Larry Tomczak said; “Ellen DeGeneres celebrates her lesbianism and ‘marriage’ in between guests like Taylor Swift to attract you girls.”

In his article Tomczak argued that only 2-3% of the population is homosexual and that the Bible calls homosexuality immoral, shameful, indecent and unnatural.

The pastor claimed that television was unleashing a tsunami of gay programming including five gay characters on ‘Glee’, a gay character on new series ‘Empire’, many gay couples remodeling homes on reality TV programs, bi-sexual investigator Kalinda on ‘The Good Wife’, gay judges on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and gay characters on ‘Modern Family’, ‘Scandal’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Two and Half Men’.

It was suggested that parent’s should be careful when purchasing DVD box sets and stick to traditional shows like ‘Gunsmoke’, ‘I Love Lucy’, ‘The Fugitive’, ‘Little House on a Prairie’ and ‘Leave it to Beaver’ .

Earlier this week at the top of her show last week Ellen said she never read things written about her, but on this occasion she would respond. The comedian hit back saying she wasn’t ‘married’ with quotation marks but just married.

Ellen addressed the pastor saying, “Larry, the only way I’m trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another. That is the message that I’m sending out. I don’t have an agenda. I’m not here to brainwash anyone,” Ellen said. She also celebrated her lesbianism by firing off a party popper.

The popular comedian continued to argue that she didn’t have a gay agenda later in the when it was announced that her production company would begin making a new sit-com called ‘One Big Happy’.

The show is about a woman named Lizzy and her lifelong friend as they decide to have a child together. Complications ensue when just before Lizzy finds out she’s pregnant, Nick falls in love and marries a British woman named Prudence. Elisha Cuthbert from ’24’, Nick Zano who appeared in ‘Two Broke Girls’ and British actress Kelly Brook are set to star.

Speaking to reporters Ellen said the show just happened to have a lesbian character.

“It just happens to be a very funny show. It happens to have a lesbian character in it,” DeGeneres told reporters on Friday. “It’s not like I formed a production company and said, ‘Bring me all your lesbian scripts.’ I’m not just going to be a lesbian machine that just turns out stuff.”

‘One Big Happy’ is scheduled to premiere on US TV in March.

  1. Well well, what business is it with this pastor, he should mind his own bee’s wax, and not interfere with people, gay is gay, Lesbians I have lots of friends that are just that, my daughter also a lesbian, I support her in every way I can, as for Ellen, leave the girl alone, if she wasn’t high profile this idiot wouldn’t have to question her rights as a human, as for getting the kids to watch gunsmoke & the like, wake up, kids get more education at school than watching the idiot box, move over pastor, the girls & boys are staying, loud & proud, gay is here to stay & straight mothers like me will keep on supporting go Ellen xxxxxx
