Radio station hit92.9 is holding a wedding for couple Rachelle and Hayley Bennett next Tuesday.

Same sex couples are able to legally wed in British consulates if one partner holds UK citizenship, so the pair will be able to tie the knot.

Hit92.9 are hosting an elaborate celebration culminating in a reception at the bell tower next week.

The couple have been together for six years, and have two children: four year old Ruby and six month old Harrison.

Due to their daughter’s love of the film ‘Frozen’, the wedding will have a winter theme.

On Wednesday night the happy couple cut loose with a Hen’s Night at Connections.

Radio hosts Heidi, Will and Woody, who will be hosting the reception, gave the couple and their friends a night to remember. Will and Woody emerged in feathers and sequined gowns and performed a choreographed drag number.

The brides took a brief break from the revelry to share their excitement with OUTinPerth.

“It’s been a whirlwind, I haven’t really had to time to process it. What 92.9 has put on is excellent. They’re doing a great job. I’m so happy with what they’ve done so far. I can’t wait to see what they’ve got for the wedding!” Rachelle said.

“It’s a bit crazy to go places and when we were buying clothes for Ruby and Harrison and saying it’s for a wedding, and for a Frozen wedding and then them knowing what it was all about, that’s a bit crazy.”

The couple are set to tie the knot on Tuesday February 24th.
