Australia’s Ultimate Bucket List
by Jennifer Adams and Clint Bizzell
Hardie Grant Books

So, many of us have bucket lists of places to visit and have even ticked off some. Of course this can be an ever-growing list of must-visit destinations, particularly after thumbing through this book.

Jennifer Adams and Clint Bizzell have spent 10 years travelling around Australia for Ten Network’s Places We Go and have put together 100 places that don’t require passports or foreign currency. Covering every state and territory in Australia, the list was compiled with the help of fellow travellers who voted on the Places We Go website.

You could take a year off and do the lot, choose go state by state or follow the suggestions for family-friendly holidays; nature experiences; beach holidays; Australian drives; outback experiences or adventure holidays.

Just be warned that some are easy to tick off such as Mona (tick), Port Arthur (tick), Cape Leveque (tick) or the Australian War Memorial (tick). And some will take a considerable amount of time such as the Murray River (1986kms long), Mornington Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, the Nullarbor and the Great Barrier Reef.

Full of great photographs and travel suggestions for both well-known and lesser known places, this book is the perfect gift for anyone in your life who has a touch of wanderlust.
