Over the weekend it was reported that the pontiff has said that only heterosexual parents can form families. “It is painful to say this today: People speak of varied families, of various kinds of family,” but “the family [as] man and woman in the image of God is the only one,” Pope Francis is reported to have said. Far right protesters who tried to stop a pride parade in Ukraine have been detained

Police is Kiev, Ukraine have detained 56 protesters from a far-right group who tired to disrupt a pride festival in the city. 150 people tried to block the path of the annual Pride march but police dressed in riot gear moved in and forced them out of the way. Read the full report.
