April 22nd 2016 is the eve of St George’s Day and the 400th anniversary of the death of England’s greatest playwright and poet.

Mark the occasion at ‘Will, England and St George: A Shakespeare Revel’ , a celebration of the writer’s work.

Head down to St George’s Cathedral at sundown for a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in a special celebration of the Bard.

There will be Elizabethan music and entertainment, both drama and comedy, to enjoy and purchase an authentic supper from the time. Proceeds from the supper go to St Bartholomew’s House to support the homeless.

Be enchanted by WA Opera’s Courtney Pitman, plus the exquisite madrigals of the Giovanni Consort and the haunting music of Perth Baroque under the direction of Georg Corall, plus it’ll be accompanied by dance.

Some of Perth’s best known actors will be reciting some of Shakespeare’s greatest works and there’s comedy from The Big Hoo Ha, Shakespeare Shenanigans and others.

St George’s Cathedral 6.30pm Friday April 22nd, one show only, head to Trybooking or call 9325 5766 to secure tickets.
