Emerging – DJ Needle Nurse

DJ for how long?

In my beloved lounge room for about 2 years, I just started playing to the public.

What gigs have you been rockin lately?

Well I was fortunate enough to have my debut last November at the first Spank Fetish Ball. Which really went well and I also did Tainted Love Fetish Ball this month. I am just starting to get out and about so I am definitely the oldest new kid on the block.

There aren’t many of us female DJ’s in Perth and even less ones who do different genres like Breaks and Dirtyhouse/Tribal. We are good and I would really love the community to try us out and come and listen to us whenever they can. There is more to life than Handbag!

Vinyl or cd’s?

Look I have to say I prefer vinyl, it’s what I started on, it’s got more of a feel to it. But I grant you that CD decks are a wonderful thing, I just like to be able to rely on my ears and get a feel for the music, rather than push a button. Saying that I have just gotten my first CD deck so I never say never to most things, you can’t completely stop progress.

Love to play with?

Well I played back to back with DJ Mali at Tainted Love week and that was really fun. If we are talking wish list, Micah, Signal Drivers or Wish. All local and top of the list, failing that JDS, Elite Force, Plump Djs, Freestylers or Slyde. Lol – don’t wish for much do I?

Top of your crate?

Not Myagi – Head

JDS – Some kinda funky shit

JDS – Resistence 06

Freestylers – Painkiller and Fast life
