A Good Coming Out Story

Monastero TwinsThis morning we posted a disturbing story about parent’s not accepting their children when they announce they are same sex attracted. Not all parents have bad reactions though, some are cool and supportive.

Meet the Monastero Twins from Canada. These two fraternal twins make cool YouTube videos and recently after discovering they were both gay, they shared the news with their parents. Adam and Luke’s parents have a few questions but are unfazed that both their sons are gay.

Everyone’s coming out experience is different, if you’re considering coming out head to the Freedom Centre’s site for some great links and advice.

Don’t forget that parents, family and friends also might need some support, introduce them to PFLAG – the Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.  Check out this story about our local branch of PFLAG.
