Sam Kerr dismisses reports she’s leaving Chelsea and signing with a US team

Football champion Sam Kerr has dismissed reports that suggested she’s about to leave UK team Chelsea and sign with an American team.

Network 10 had reported that the 32-year-old Kerr, who is also the Captain of The Matildas, has signed with the Colorado-based club Denver.

But in a post to Snapchat Kerr doused cold water on the report.

“Don’t believe everything you read in the media man, they know a decision before me”. she wrote.

Kerr’s contract with Chelsea does come to an end this year, and while she’s had great success with the club she was also out of action for 18 months due to injury.

Prior to establishing her self in the UK Kerr had played with a variety of US clubs including s Western New York Flash, Sky Blue FC and the Chicago Red Stars.

Chelsea dropped out of the Champions League this week when they were beaten in the quarter final’s by rivals Arsenal.
