The Iranian government has cracked down on what it perceives to be homosexual activities including having a spiky haircut, men getting their eyebrows plucked, using a solarium and having a tattoo.

The Guardian reports that as part of its annual crackdown on western influences the government issues a list of unacceptable fashions for men and women. This year devil worshipping spiky hair that is apparently favoured by homosexuals is on the list.

The move follows a recent crackdown on women removing hair from their genital areas and a ban on shop mannequins who have large breasts.

Barbers who fail to comply with the strict guidelines face having their licence revoked and being forced to shut down.
