Janelle Monae Drops Video for 'Electric Lady'

Tuxedo-wearing superstar sent from the furthest reaches of the galaxy on a mission to improve all our lives with mad hot musical stylings Janelle Monae has dropped a video for the title track off her latest album ‘Electric Lady’.

The album is her third concept record to chronicle the saga of Cindi Mayweather, Monae’s robotic alter-ego who, in a high-tech dystopian future is pursued by authorities who wish to destroy her after she falls in love with a human being.

Monae’s music has oft championed the causes of empowerment and self-acceptance, especially on this record. This could not be more true for the title track, a jamming tribute to female awesomeness.
