Ozone Reserve lit up on Sunday for Listen Out Festival – the line-up was huge and the crowd was even bigger as some of the world’s most cutting edge musical acts brought the party to Perth.
Despite the massive clouds of mystery bugs, the crowd was not distracted from the party at hand. Mississippi rap duo Rae Sremmurd only had to speak the first two lines of ‘No Flex Zone’ to summon the crowd from all ends of the reserve for their high energy performance of the infamous banger.
Canadian cutie Ryan Hemsworth played a characteristically adorable set of whimsical beats, while producer George Fitzgerald spun the crowd into a trance with his electronic beats.
Ending the evening with a bang, rappers Joey Bada$$ dominated the crowd with his intensity, while ‘Community’ star Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) had the audience swooning at his pop-culture tinted rhymes and killer grin.
Though the humans at the festival were outnumbered by swarms of midges, the stellar performers outshone the intruding insects making for an unforgettable day by the river
