Pedestrian have pointed out that Melbourne music-maker Dariush Etemad has released a very camp Mardi Gras remix of the theme song for soap opera favourite Neighbours.

Neighbours made television history last year, with the first same-sex marriage to appear on Aussie TV between characters Aaron and David – officiated by none other than Magda Szubanski.

The long-running soap will also be taking part in this year’s Mardi Gras parade with a 60-strong float representing Ramsay St, where they’ll be marching to Etemad’s remix of the theme.
