Minister's attention grabbing messages captured in short film

Fullscreen capture 26062015 105256 AMWhile the Catholic Church and the Australian Christian Lobby are vigorously campaigning for traditional marriage, it’s important to remember that they don’t represent the views of all Christians.

Anglican Minister Rod Bower disagreed with the statements being made by the Australian Christian Lobby and he decided to be proactive in putting a different message forward. The minister started putting a series of messages in front of his Gosford church and it got world wide attention.

Some of Father Rod’s messages included “Jesus had two Dads and he turned out OK” and “Dear Christians, some people are gay, get over it, love God”.

Now Father Rod’s story has been captured in a short film created by Kate Follington.

“I had an opportunity to say to not only a national, but an international commuity, that not all Christian’s have this conservative view about human sexuality.” Father Rod said.

Aside from advocating for LGBTIQ rights, the father also posts messages about refugees, media ethics and the current Q&A debate.
