Not Like Beckett

Through the eyes of a rabbit called Walter Walloon Beckett (funny, funny man Sam Longley), Not Like Beckett is a sharp and witty look at colonised Australia. Walter Walloon, a famous rabbit comedian, is trapped on an outback hilltop, a vantage point from which he reflects on his life and his one true love Boo Boo the bilby. Directed by one of Perth’s hottest directors, Emily McLean, Not Like Beckett is heartbreaking tear-jerking and probably best accompanied by dinner out in Freo! It is showing at Victoria Hall in Fremantle until August 12. www.deckchairtheatre.com.au
