Madonna was in town with her Rebel Heart tour and after the show dropped by Prince’s Paisley Park studios for a late night jam session according to local radio station The Current .

During her show Madonna dedicated her performance of the Edith Piaf classic ‘La Vie En Rose’ to Prince.

Thirty loyal Prince fans were invited into his compound to join the party, and were surprised when Madonna and her entourage arrived. Madonna sat at Prince’s feet while he played his show.

It’s not the first time to two megastars paths have crossed. In his book ‘Madonna: The Intimate Biography’ author J. Randy Taraborrelli reported that the two dated in 1985 just before Madonna met her future husband Sean Penn.

When Madonna released her 1989 album ‘Like a Prayer album’ the two collaborated on the track ‘Love Song’ but Prince also played the guitars on the title track ‘Like a Prayer’, ‘Act of Contrition’ and ‘Keep It Together’.

Check out Madonna the droog performing ‘Keep it Together’ with a dash of Sly and the Family Stone’s ‘Family Affair’ during her Blonde Ambition tour.
