Rogue Traders – Better in the Dark

There is something deliciously 80s in the Rogue Traders newest album. By track #3 ‘I Never Liked You’ I had multi-coloured slouch socks on, a side ponytail, and the brightest blue eye shadow and sluttiest red lipstick available at the corner store. Clap along, jump around, and indulge yourself in music that returns to the exuberantly narcissistic centre of pop music. While a return to the 80s can be as unwanted as an acid flashback, this album revels in it and the result deserves to be classified alongside the best of the 80s. Girls (Just Wanna) Have Fun with this one, but make sure the krimper is still working when they bring, what I can only hope, is a neon showstopper to town early next year.
