RTRFM ready to celebrate 35 years of 'Drastic on Plastic'

Local community radio station will celebrate the 35th birthday of one of its most iconic programs Drastic on Plastic with a show at the Fremantle Festival.

The show which celebrates women in music has been on air for 35 of the station’s 40 year history.

Local musician Amber Fresh who performs as Rabbit Island (pictured) will be joined by Stella Donnelly, Em Burrows and Friends, Ruby May, Akioka and Michelle Harpist to celebrate the show’s milestone anniversary.

RTRFM’s Heavenly Bodies: 35 Years of Drastic on Plastic will kick off this year’s Fremantle Festival. The musicians will perform in the beautiful surroundings of St John’s Church on Friday October 27.

Drastic on Plastic can be heard on RTRFM 92.1 from 3pm – 5pm on Saturday afternoons.
