Shakespeare in the Park – The Comedy of Errors, Deckchair theatre

Shakespeare in the ParkDeckchair Theatre takes advantage of one our most idyllic parks, King’s Park, in which to stage its annual summer treat, Shakespeare in the Park. With Kookaburras frequently provide the canned laughter on cue, one of the joys of this series is the unpredictable element added by the outdoor setting. This year’s offering is ‘The Comedy of Errors’, a comedy well suited to some of the cast’s considerable talents in slapstick. At its best with physical interpretations of the work, Deckchair’s production is a light-hearted romp through Shakespeare’s farcical tale of the trials of mistaken identity.
