The Blue Room Theatre has dropped their full 2026 program and there’s so many stories to dive in to this season.
16 brand new shows will come to life over the eight months, showcasing the work of some of our most exciting local creatives.
Works range from surreal comedies to epic dance pieces, reflecting on family, identity, culture and humanity.
Among the program is A Cure for Loneliness, exploring lead artist Lauren Marchbank’s perspective as an artist with Decibels (or Down syndrome); solo dance work MATA MATA, honouring the Māori concept of Whakapapa and identity; and Dirty Talk, delving into the mess and shame that can come with sex and women’s pleasure.
