'The Project' host Hamish McDonald comes out with boyfriend

One of the hosts of Channel 10’s The Project has come out as a member of the LGBTIQ+ community this week at the GQ Gentleman’s Ball.

Hamish McDonald appeared on the red carpet holding hands with his partner Jacob, sharing the moment to Instagram.

The Walkley-award winning journalist has been part of The Project team since 2010, and has been a vocal supporter of LGBTIQ+ community during his time on the panel.

Fans have congratulated the pair for sharing their love on social media.

“What fantastic role models, smart and classy!” one user wrote.

“I’ve always admired you and this makes me so happy,” wrote another.
