Returning this year after the success of last year’s debut event, TransTastic will be showcasing the talents of local trans* people and taking over Connections Nightclub for a fun, friendly night of music, art, performance, fashion and more.

Transmen of WA’s Nick Lawrence, who is producing the event, says TransTastic is all about celebrating trans* people and their talents as part of Pride month celebrations in November.

“It’s about showing the wider community the talent of the transgender community. To let everyone know we’re not all that different and bring the communities together,” Lawrence said.

“We want to give people something fun to go to that makes them feel good about themselves.”

Reprising their positions on the entertainment line-up will be local legends Lionizer, the incredible magician Zatanna, slam poetry champion Jesse Oliver and dancing superstars Scarlet Adams & Graeme.

Elle Walsh from The Love Junkies will be joining the showcase this year with her hardcore band, Dead End Brawler, along with many, many more new acts.

The TransTastic art show will also return with art displays from Lex Rudolph and Remus, along with a brand new fashion show with local trans* models working the runway. The M Clinic will also feature a pop up stall at the event, for those who wish to discuss trans* issues, sexual health or gather general information.

Transmen of WA are preparing to make a major announcement at this year’s TransTastic event, and urges people of all gender identities to come along, get involved, meet new people and show support for the T in LGBTIQ+

TransTastic will be at Connections Nightclub on Saturday November 5th. For more information, head to Facebook.com/TransPrideParty
