A representative for the network has told Queerty that the show won’t be back for a third season but a special will give Patrick, Dom, Eddie, Ritchie, Kevin and Doris a send off.

After two years of following Patrick and his tight-knit group of friends as they explored San Francisco in search of love and lasting relationships, HBO will present the final chapter of their journey as a special.  We look forward to sharing this adventure with the show’s loyal fans.

The show, which airs on Foxtel here in Australia, has struggled to attract a sufficient audience and has not been a ratings success.

The second season of the show has been praised for its positive depiction of a HIV positive character. Actor Daniel Franzese’s character Eddie joined the show in Season 2.
